It's been a pretty cool morning: Cheerios for breakfast, a management meeting where millions of little career decisions were made, and now a full day of things to do ahead of me. Which means I won't be bored today. Which means I'm smiling right now. And I hope you know I'm so thankful for all the love you send my way on TaylorConnect.

EW: Do you remember the moment when you finished the track list and how that felt? TS: I finished the track list about two months ago. I don’t stop writing songs when I have enough songs to make an album. For the last two years, I have just been trying to beat what I have on this list of potential songs for the record.

EW: I would think that working on an album is stressful. But when you talk about working on Speak Now, you seem so happy. Was it a joyful process? Or was there a stressful part to making it? TS: There is a stressful and joyful element to making an album. For me, I’m either incredibly stressed or overjoyed, and the way that usually goes is that if I’ve just written a song, I’m the happiest you will ever see me. But if I haven’t written a song in a week and a half, I am more stressed than you will ever, ever see me at any other point. If I haven’t written a song in more than about nine days, that’s when I start to zone out in the middle of conversations because I’m thinking about what I could be writing about next. For me, it’s just such a fun challenge to constantly be writing and constantly be trying to top what you just wrote. It’s one of my favorite games to play—trying to beat what I’ve written last. What I wrote last is something I got really excited about when I wrote it, but I know I could write something better. But it’s just a really fun thing to go through.

Taylor Donates $100k to Rebuild Kids Kingdom!

Country music sensation and former Hendersonville resident Taylor Swiftrecently donated $100,000 to the city’s efforts to rebuild Kids Kingdom, Mayor Scott Foster announced Tuesday.

The $100,000 donation from the Taylor Swift Charitable Fund had been discussed earlier in the evening when the city’s finance committee members voted to send an ordinance accepting the money to the full board. Board members are expected to vote on the ordinance at the next Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Sept. 14.

According to Parks Director Dave LeMarbre, Swift made the donation to help the city with its flood relief efforts. Although the 13-year-old children’s playground had been underwater several times over the years, it wasn’t destroyed by the historic flood that hit the city May 1-2. Had it been damaged more, the city might have received insurance money for the damage, LeMarbre noted. He said Swift’s business manager suggested the money go toward Kids Kingdom and refurbishing the city’s volleyball courts.

Taylor Filming Her New Music Video!!!

Taylor was spotted in Kennebunk, Maine today filming the music video for her first single off her third album! It will be directed by Roman White, the same director for "You Belong With Me" and "Fifteen" and as you can see it appears that a wedding will take place in the video hence the wedding dress! OMG so exciting! I seriously CAN'T WAIT till more info about this pops up!

KENNEBUNK, Maine — Taylor Swift was in Kennebunk today, July 8, shooting part of a new music video at Christ Church on Dane Street.

The Rev. Janet Leighninger, pastor of Christ Church said they had been contacted a while ago by a company that scouts film locations and happened to check the church out one Sunday.

“Then they called about a week ago and said could they possibly film here,” she said.

Leighninger said she was told it would be a country artist shooting a music video, but not who the artist was.

“We wanted to make sure it was appropriate,” she said.

On the morning of the shoot, Leighninger discovered the artist was Swift.

Built in 1827, the church features a soaring white steeple and a traditional double-door entry.

It was that entry that was the focus of the video shoot.

When Taylor Swift ended her Fearless tour earlier this month at Gillette Stadium near Boston, she talked to CMT Insider's Katie Cook about her life on the road and plans for the summer. Here's a portion of the interview:
We were with you when you kicked off your Fearless tour in Evansville, Ind., in 2009. Does that seem like a lifetime ago now?
Swift: It does. It was 15 months ago that we started this tour ... and it's slowly morphed into a more advanced version of what we started 15 months ago. I'm so excited that we're ending it in a stadium.
And it's a huge amount of people here. The Evansville show was almost 13,000 people, but this is almost 60,000.
I know. I keep having these moments where throughout the course of the day I'm like, "We're gonna play in a stadium tonight. We're gonna end the tour in a stadium -- 60,000 people." That's just so beautiful to try and wrap your mind around. And it's our second stadium that we've played on this tour, and I don't think that the newness is ever going to wear off playing stadiums for me.

Last night, Taylor attended the 41st Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony in New York City. She looked absolutely gorgeous and received the Hal David Starlight Award, which is an incredible honor! The award only goes to gifted songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry with their songs, so congratulations Taylor! I’ve added a bunch of pictures from the red carpet and her performance as well, so be sure to take a look! I’ve also posted a snippet of a really nice article about last night!

Presenting Swift with the Hal David starlight award, John Mayer praised her as “not a product of the hype machine” but rather of “everyone agreeing that something is fabulous. Taylor Swift Hq just announced that Taylor will be hosting a 13 HOUR meet & greet at CMA Music Festival on June 13. The event is free and will feature different fan activities and a short acoustic performance by Taylor. Again, she amazes me I never seen an artist who cares so much about her fans. Taylor Swift has BIG plans for this year’s CMA Music Festival -- she announced today that she is going to spend 13 hours meeting as many of her fans as possible!

Taylor will be hosting “Taylor Swift’s 13-Hour Meet & Greet” at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, in the heart of CMA Music Festival activities, on June 13th. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Taylor will kick off the festivities at 8:00 a.m. that day, and will meet as many fans as possible over the course of the 13-hour event. The event will include a short acoustic performance that afternoon shortly after 2 p.m., and will also feature several different fan activities throughout the day. “Taylor Swift’s 13-Hour Meet & Greet” is open to the general public and admission is free.
